Showcase Workshops

We can change the way your pupils think about engineering. Invite one of our Showcase Ambassadors to hold a workshop at your school and your students will learn about the power of engineering to reshape the world around them, its range of real-world applications and the wealth of potential career opportunities it offers.

The workshops span several areas of the curriculum and can broaden the spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development of pupils or work related learning schemes. All our Showcase Ambassadors are part of the National STEM Ambassador Programme.

If you’re interested and want us to deliver a workshop at your school, youth group or other event then please ask your local STEM Learning Hub. Be sure to let them know you want an Engineers Without Borders UK Ambassador!

Our Showcase Workshops

You can choose from two Showcase Workshops:

  • Water for Everyone Everywhere
  • Power for Everyone Everywhere

Each focuses on a specific human need and highlights the role engineering plays in addressing it. They each have a resource designed for Primary and one for Secondary education.

Workshop: Water for everyone everywhere

Pupils explore the challenges involved in making sure everyone around the world can get access to safe and clean drinking water. They learn about the importance of water in our everyday lives and the role that engineering plays in its distribution. And they’ll have the chance to design, build and test their own water filter.

“The workshops enabled us to bring real life dilemmas of sustainable energy into the classroom and inspire students to think about a future in engineering”
