Run by Reuters, AlertNet is a humanitarian news network that aims to keep relief professionals and the wider public up-to-date on humanitarian crises around the globe. AlertNet has a network of 400 contributing humanitarian organisations.
OneWorld UK  "Independent news for an interdependent world" - with a global network of over 1,600 partner NGOs, OneWorld aims to provide the UK's best online coverage of human rights and sustainable development.
UN News Service 
The United Nations' News Service - most news covered by the UNNS is relevant to human development and humanitarian work. The 'news by topic' menu includes sections on Economic Development, Culture and Education, Humanitarian Aid and Refugees, and so on.
OCHA News Centre  The UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs runs a news centre with press releases, newsletters, official briefings and speeches, and - most interestingly, I think - regular situation reports on ongoing humanitarian operations. Great for keeping up-to-date with current issues in the humanitarian relief field.
ReliefWeb  Run by REUTERS, ReliefWeb is the world’s leading on-line gateway to information (documents and maps) on humanitarian emergencies and disasters. An independent vehicle of information, designed specifically to assist the international humanitarian community in effective delivery of emergency assistance, it provides timely, reliable and relevant information as events unfold, while emphasizing the coverage of "forgotten emergencies" at the same time.
IRIN  Another OCHA-related (but independent) news website. Based in Nairobi, IRIN's principal role is to provide news and analysis about sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia for the humanitarian community.
Developments 
Developments is a free quarterly magazine from the UK Government’s Department for International Development designed to increase awareness of development issues.
