We’re looking for a proactive and passionate education professional to join our team and help change the education of engineers to ensure that global responsibility is at the heart of what engineers do.

Engineers Without Borders UK is at an exciting time. Our Engineering for People Design Challenge continues to grow in our established geography of the UK and Ireland and it is about to be piloted in South Africa and the USA. We are developing new partnerships to further influence the education of engineers and drive innovation in addressing global challenges. Our growing movement is now in a position to be directed towards collective action and key to achieving this is the provision of relevant opportunities to learn about global responsibility in engineering and how to practice it.

We’re now looking for a proactive and passionate education professional to join our team. You will be someone who is keen to change the education of engineers to ensure that global responsibility is at the heart of what engineers do, and, you will have the necessary skills and experience to put that into practice.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for engineering and technology and the difference it makes to people. The ideal candidate will experience in education/training development and delivery, and a degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related subject.

As our Learning and Development Officer, your primary responsibility will be the delivery of education and training resources and experiences to develop those within our growing community. This role is envisaged to start out supporting existing activities within the organisation, working collaboratively across all areas of the charity to bring consistency and increased quality to the education aspects of our work. Over time, and as the organisation grows, there is the opportunity to become increasingly strategic and take on greater responsibility for developing new educational opportunities.
