Senior Fellowship 1 will work to develop and implement a pilot scheme for a sustainable commercial model for renewable energy production in rural areas. Senior Fellowship 2 will work to improve the supply of water to rural communities for electricity generation, irrigation and potable water. The Junior Fellows will develop a water distribution system for rural villages under the guidance of the Senior Fellows.

Senior Fellow 4 will work on improving the testing and stove development processes through 2D and 3D modelling, producing manufacturing data and implementing managerial practices to improve and optimise efficiency. Senior Fellow 5 will also work on testing and stove development with a focus on streamlining prototyping procedures and cost analysis. The Junior Fellows will aid the Senior Fellows with developing water distribution systems for rural villages, by undertaking work on specific key design tasks.

Senior Fellow 5 will support the design and construction of a school in Nairobi’s largest informal settlement, Kibera. One of the Junior Fellows will work directly with Senior Fellow 5 on specific design tasks relating to the structural and architectural design of the school. Senior Fellow 6 will work on mitigation and preventative infrastructure relating to flooding in Kibera. Junior Fellow 2 will work directly with Senior Fellow 6 on specific design tasks relating to infrastructure planning, flood risk and flood mitigation.
