SUMMARY:Systems Change Lab: In-person event
DESCRIPTION:You need to register in advance for this event. Register here: https://raeng.org.uk/event-booking?eventRef=5501fc5d-775b-ee11-8def-6045bdd0ef35 \nJoin us for the second in-person Systems Change Lab to explore and test how and why to integrate global responsibility as a central feature within university engineering education. Empowering engineers with the skillsets to address the challenges created by climate change requires adapting both the technological and philosophical frameworks used in engineering education. This goal has been the subject of a programme of work at the Royal Academy of Engineering which aims to transform undergraduate engineering education – what is taught and how – to embed global responsibility (sustainability and wider ethical and inclusive practice) across all engineering courses in the UK. \nThe focus of this Systems Change Lab co-hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering and Engineers without Borders UK will be to explore\, with leading representatives and shapers of engineering higher education\, both the need and the opportunity to embed global responsibility as a central feature within engineering degree courses. \nIf you have any questions\, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Siobhan.Silas@raeng.org.uk.

SUMMARY:Systems Change Lab: Virtual workshop 1
DESCRIPTION:Join Engineers Without Borders UK and the Royal Academy of Engineering at 16.00 GMT for a virtual facilitated workshop to review the latest Reimagined Degree Map\, and explore the next steps for the Systems Change Lab (running until March 2024). We have set aside two dates for this session to allow for as many people as possible to be available to contribute. The two dates are Monday 30 October and Friday 03 November\, and you only need to attend one of these sessions. The meeting will take 120 minutes\, if you can only attend for 60 minutes – please do so. \nThe Global Responsibility Reimagined Degree Map is a new toolkit for universities to navigate how to positively shape degrees to create globally responsible engineers. The session will help you to contribute to the development of this tool\, understand more\, and begin to explore ways that you or your organisation can adopt this tool to support educators. \nThe recording will not be shared because the Map is currently under embargo until launch. If you have any questions\, don’t hesitate to get in touch with emma.crichton@ewb-uk.org. We are happy to run separate meetings for those in various time zones\, please do get in touch for details. We look forward to sharing this important work with you. \nZoom link: https://ewb-uk-org.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUudO-grjkpGdQ0loi2nu3Jq7TpHN5Ctfcn#/registration

SUMMARY:Systems Change Lab: Welcome to the Lab
DESCRIPTION:You need to register in advance for this event. Register here: https://raeng.org.uk/events/2023/september/systems-change-lab-global-responsibility-in-engineering-higher-education?mc_cid=c203ae898a&mc_eid=UNIQID \nJoin us for the first in-person Systems Change Lab to explore and test how and why to integrate global responsibility as a central feature within university engineering education.
