The Hub Team
Know Before You Go course
Are you part of a group planning some international work?
Know Before You Go is a course designed to equip you with knowledge you'll need to make your partnership work overseas.
Member Led International Partnerships Step by Step
This guide is intended to help EWB member groups who wish to carry out international work. Due to the inherent risks involved, it is required that all such work is affiliated to EWB-UK.
Partnerships Led by Our Members
Engineers Without Borders UK’s members sometimes lead international work by developing partnerships and projects separate to our main placements, education and research activities. Typically these are led by engineering students at UK universities who are members of our network of branches, but can also be led by members of our professional network.
The Competitions
The Innovation Hub runs competitions, sponsored by our partners, that pose problems from our communities of practice. These problems are developed alongside development practitioners or our international partners.
Sign up to our mailing list here to keep up to date about any upcoming competitions.

About the Hub
Fantastic ideas occur all the time but people are often unable to realise them due to deficiencies in skills, knowledge or finance. Part of EWB-UK’s mission is to support young people and entrepreneurs with ideas for new technologies and social enterprises that can help to alleviate poverty in developing countries. EWB-UK is in a great position to offer this support as it has the people and knowledge in the organisation to help others develop their ideas.
The Innovation Hub
The Innovation Hub is an exciting new part of EWB-UK which aims to support the development of ideas that aid development. There are two main parts of the Innovation Hub: The Hub and The Competitions.
