As part of our Professional Network, we are establishing a network of ‘EWB champions’ in offices across the UK

Mark Williams (the EWB-UK National PN Coordinator) will be in Manchester on Saturday 10th April. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in becoming involved with the PN in the North-West region to meet Mark and the regional team, and to find out more about plans to develop the local PN further in 2010. 

Be there from 9:30 to 11am in the Corner House Cafe (next to Oxford Road Station).

In place of our usual committee meeting, Manchester PN are holding a TEDtalk video evening on Wednesday 8^th July 2009. 

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and their site makes the best talks and performances from some of the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers available to watch.

Starting from National Science and Engineering Week, the EWB London Festival gave everybody the opportunity to understand the challenges of international development, and how to get involved as a graduate or a student. During these 17 days there were evening speaker events from development workers with experience in the field, informal debates and discussion, an open exhibition, and much more.

A re-launch event for the Manchester branch of the EWB-UK Professional Network is planned on the 13th March at 6pm.

This event will provide an opportunity to find out more about the work of EWB-UK and how you can get involved in the Professional Network. It will also be a useful event for prospective members of the student branch to attend
