Water

PRODECI,

Intag, Ecuador

NGO that aims to improve the quality of life in children, families and communities in the region of Intag. Volunteers Ian Baggs and Maite Valdes are designing and installing water supply systems, in partnership with local communities.

Rural Centre for Human Interests (RUCHI)

Bandh, India

Non-political, non-profit organization committed to development of rural India. Siobhan McGrath at a current EWB-UK placement at RUCHI, investigating a sedimentation tank for a community water-system.

AIDECO

Anbdour, Morocco

NGO that promotes rural development in the region of Amelenes, southern Morocco. Graduate engineers Clare Wilding and Stephen Ollier will be working on projects involving detailed surveying, impact assessment, renovation of irrigation channels, and construction of perimeter fencing.

The Lao Institute for Renewable Energy (LIRE)

Vientiane, Lao

Non-profit institute working on renewable sources of energy for Lao. Solar power water purification unit researched by Andrew Murfin, qualified engineer.
