Amnesty Warwick intend to put the spotlight on the brutal bulldozing of Nairobi slums by the Kenyan government, by building and inhabiting a slum on our very own piazza – and they’ve asked us to handle the construction.

We’ve decided to make this our biggest workshop of the year, inviting other EWB branches from around the UK. We’ll be teaching and putting into practice the core skills required in the rapid construction of solid shelters, and then covering our structures in typical slum materials: anything we can get our hands on.

The workshop will run from 11:00 to 16:00 on the 11th of March 2011 at Warwick University, on the Piazza. We are currently trying to arrange external speakers and instructors.
