The Engineers Without Borders UK website is a significant bit of kit. It has nearly 4,500 pages and more than 3,000 users. It attracts around 12,000 visits per month. And it is, more than anything else, what defines our organisation to the world. But it's getting a bit old and crusty. We need your help to make it sexy. We need your help to edit the content of the site, improve how it looks and feels and make it easier for people to find what they're looking for. As we introduce a new web-based database over the summer, you will also play a role in seperating off our internal uses of the website to concentrate on its external purpose as an effective communications tool.

You'll be working with John Heelham, EWB-UK's volunteer Communications and Publicity Co-ordinator. You'll be working with the volunteers installing our new database system, the Video Editor intern and - well - nearly everyone in the organisation at some point!

Duties:

  • Edit and improve the content on the website using the Drupal content management system.
  • Develop the knowledge section of the website with support from our programme teams.
  • Use publishing software, graphics packages, basic HTML, PHP and online services.
  • Help to understand what people want from the website and make it easier for them to use - including better integration of membership and email list systems.

< Apply here > - remember to tick the 'Internship - Website Editor' box!
