During his EWB-UK bursary funded project in Nepal Nigel indentified significant shortcomings in the methods of spreading the improved cooking stove technology. The majority of the highest income groups were shown to be benefiting from the technology, but typically less than 5% of the lowest income groups had access to it. On returning to the UK Nigel continued his investigation in this topic as his final year research project, proposing practical improvements for the key players.
