EWB-UK NEW MEMBERS OF STAFF
Welcome to our Placements & Training employees

Fran Talavera (fran.talavera@ewb-uk.org) is EWB-UK's first national, full time employed Training Coordinator funded by the DfID DAF grant. She will be taking over from Sachi Findlater, who has been coordinating this year’s training courses. Fran will not have a national training team supporting her. Instead, her team will consist of branch or PN training/events coordinators and she will work with them full time.

Catherine Hill (catherine.hill@ewb-uk.org) is EWB-UK's first national, part time employed Placements Administrator funded through our collaboration with RedR. Catherine will work closely with the National Placements Coordinator on the placements scheme. Catherine's contribution will go along way to open up more opportunities for your members to be involved as, for example; project managers, or placements volunteers with training and support for the role.

MA DEGREE IN REFUGEE CARE
University of Essex, Centre for Psychoanalytic studies

The MA in Refugee Care is an innovative degree that is offered jointly by the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex and the Tavistock Clinic in London.

Unlike other academic degrees on 'Refugee Studies', the emphasis of this unique programme is on enabling students to work directly with refugees and asylum seekers in a variety of different settings. The central focus of this programme is on the introduction of a therapeutic dimension and a psychosocial perspective to working with this client group.
