Global Engineer publication launch, London March 20
We would like to invite EWB members to the launch of this publication which is being held on Thursday March 20th at 2nd floor, Weston House, 246 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EX. The event will take place between 12.30 and 2.30pm. If you would like to attend please phone Ian Neal on 020 3206 0487.
The publication is primarily aimed at the engineering sector within higher education and outlines why and how universities can embed the global dimension and development education principles within the courses they run for engineering students.
Engineers Against Poverty in partnership with the Development Education Research Centre of the Institute of Education and with the support of a wide range of academics and the engineering professional bodies has been analysing how the global dimension can be integrated within the engineering curriculum and we are now in a position to disseminate the outcomes of our work through a major publication that has been developed.
The launch event will take the form of a short seminar aimed at key decision makers within the engineering profession and academics. We are anticipating that between 30 and 50 people will attend the event. Following the launch, copies of the publication will be distributed to the heads of all UK engineering faculties as well as being available via our website and upon request.
