As part of EWB-UK's new package of sponsorship events, Tough Guy© - "the safest most dangerous sport in the world" - was advertised. On January 27th 2008, after just two months of training and fundraising, two EWB-UK members entered the assault course that includes swamps, underwater tunnels & fire pits.

Tough Guy is the original survival ordeal, a test of physical and mental endurance designed to take you beyond your known limits. Not only did both Gavin and Tom survive, they got very respectable times - while also raising lots of money for EWB-UK!

From trekking to leaping out of a plane, there’s an EWB-UK event to suit all adrenalin levels. The experiences are incredible, but it's hard work too – and not just the activity. Participants need to raise enough money to cover their costs and to make a real contribution to EWB-UK's work.
