EWB-IC: Intermediate Technologies Workshop
16th of January, 1pm-6pm at Mech Eng Building room 649-650.
A repeat of last year's course with a few more technologies, this is an afternoon workshop dealing with intermediate technologies such as micro hydro, ceramic filters, biofuel and pot-in-pot refrigerator. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of the technologies and do short practical exercises and discuss their uses. There are 20 places available and it will be free of charge. Ram Pump Workshop
16th of January, 1pm-6pm at Mech Eng Building room 649-650.
This is a new weekend long workshop dealing with ram pump design with a chance for an assembly and testing of a small sized pump. This workshop is still in a planning stage and for various reasons, a date cannot be set for it yet. Could everyone who would be interested in going, contact Nara ( ns704@ic.ac.uk) as soon as possible, including which dates you would prefer the course to be set at. The choices are:
- 18-20 April (preferred by trainer)

Renewable Energy Systems (RES) TRIP
RES Open Morning on Saturday 9 February 2008.
Visits are free and will be from 10.30am - 1pm, but there will be some charges for renting a minivan to get there. The cost will be split up depending on how many people are going. There are 15 places available. Contact Nara ( ns704@ic.ac.uk) to sign up and could you please tell him if you would be able to be the 2nd driver for the minivan
