·         Ticket sales for the volunteering ball have now stopped, however Bridgette may have a few extra if anybody is interested.

·         Sam found out that Dr Coates is not planning to take a group of first years to the Centre for Alternative Technology. Sam also said that he was no longer interested in going. Those who were interested are: Cathy, Hanan, Anna, Sally, Oli, Martyn, Luke, Harriet. There is currently one place remaining.

·         Everyone needs to register at http://www.ewb-uk.org/ for Birmingham branch

·         This year’s Guild awards are being held on March 18th, nominations close 22nd of February.

·         A representative is needed to attend the Selecting Student Activities Executive Committee on the 28th of February between 6pm and 8pm. Cathy suggested that someone other than the guild liaison should go. Anna volunteered.

·         Adam initially expressed an interest in the biogas course, as it could be useful for placement applications.

·         The deadline for the Hockerton House trip (costing £20.27) has now closed. Not much interest was shown. Luke suggested a sustainable housing project in Edgbaston as an alternative to H HooooofghdflgljfHockerton House.

·         Chris emailed the Ackers centre and is currently awaiting a response. We are hoping to go for a weekend in February or early march. There will be approximately ten places available.

·         The deadline for bursaries is 15th of February. Any ideas would be most welcome.

·         Not much progress has been made with the wind turbine project as most people are unable to commit a lot of time due to the current work load. Everybody was still keen to build the wind turbine and it was suggested that we could come back a week early from the Easter holidays and do it then.  April 22nd was suggested. It is however, currently proving difficult to find a working motor.

·         An email was received from MSF, who are keen to work together for events.

·         The next meeting will be in two weeks on Thursday 7th February.
