EWB-UK Professional Network Brochure

A lovely looking Professional Network brochure has been produced by the PN Team, giving the basics on what the PN is, examples of past involvement and how you can get involved with EWB-UK and a network near you. Please feel free to pass the link on to anyone who may be interested or even print it out (4 double sided A4 sheets makes a great A5 fold-over) - download link is:

IDDS: International Development Design Summit
MIT, Massachusetts, USA - July-Aug 2008

MIT will be hosting the second International Development Design Summit (IDDS) during the summer of 2008, and we would like to invite you to consider applying to participate in this remarkable event. Applications are due February 10, 2008. IDDS, which will run from July 14 to August 8 on the MIT campus, brings together practitioners, community partners, students, and faculty from many countries to focus on the needs of the developing world. The Summit is very much a hands-on experience. Through focused workshops, intensive work sessions, and seminars to inspire and instruct, participants work in teams while designing and creating technologies that they can take back to their countries for testing and further development.

Please take this opportunity to learn about how you can apply to IDDS 2008. Check out www.iddsummit.org for more information and application materials.
Last year a number of members of EWB-UK took part in the summit, including Alistair Cook ( alistair.cook@ewb-uk.org) and Sachi Findlater (sachi.findlater@ewb-uk.org). If you'd like to find out more about the summit from them, then please drop them an e-mail and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Best Regards,
The IDDS Organizing Team
