Information for Students

There are two main paths to undertake engineering development research with EWB-UK.

  • Firstly, by taking on one of the EWB-UK Research Proposals
  • Secondly, by initiating your own project and then affiliating it with EWB-UK.

Once registered or affiliated with EWB-UK Research through either path, we'll send you regular emails with the current news and opportunities. You'll also be welcome to contact us for technical support on the project. Although we cannot guarantee we'll be able to help with every query, we will do our best to put you into contact with people who have experience in the particular area.

If you're undertaking a project with EWB-UK, we would like to add you to our Contacts database so that you may be able to support others in the future. We will also ask to publish the final research in our EWB-UK Knowledge Area (if there are any confidentiality or copyright issues then this can be discussed).

Benefits from carrying out research projects with EWB-UK include:

  • Access to information and resources through EWB-UK
  • Support with dissemination and implementation of your Project
  • Eligibility to apply for Research Grants to help your Project*
  • Increased opportunities to attend EWB-UK Training courses and events*
  • The opportunity to have your project published online and made available to a worldwide audience in the EWB-UK Knowledge Section*
