Are you planning on going abroad to volunteer on an international development project in the near future?  If so, then this is your ideal training course!

Over this weekend course we will focus on key skills for working effectively in development, providing the most assistance you can and getting the most out of your time abroad.

Sessions covered will include:

- Examining motivations for work in this area
- Learning about International Development
- Conflict Resolution
- Engaging well with people
- Community Participation
- Personal Security and Health
- Living and Working Abroad

 

There will also be the chance to talk about your project both within the group and with session leaders throughout the weekend - a chance to make useful contacts and talk to people with a lot of experience!

Course fee: £25 (includes refreshments, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday, but not accommodation or breakfasts)
