We'll be building a hexayurt - the world's most successful open
source building project - at Hackney City Farm. You'll learn the
basics of making good houses from simple materials like plywood, and
get a chance to help the farm by "barn raising" a much-needed working
building. The hexayurt is being tested in Haiti and Sri Lanka as
transitional shelter, and is about half the price of a disaster relief
tent.

What to bring: 

• sturdy footwear will be required as we will be working with tools and lifting materials
• warm clothing as the workshop will take place outside.
