Volunteer Roles

EWB-UK recruits volunteers in two ways. Our Volunteer Projects are time-bound projects which address immediate needs within the organisation, and are generally more suitable for busy individuals with specific skills. Our Volunteer Roles are longer term positions (up to a year) which require a more sustainable time commitment; these are ideal for anyone that wants to learn about running an organisation, but do not require a large amount of previous experience.

Regional Training Co-ordinators

Regional Training co-ordinators have an exciting role working with the branches to deliver hands on practical training. 

 

Librarian

EWB-UK runs a small library from its office in London and is need of a Library Co-ordinator.

Placement Managers

Annually, EWB-UK supports approximately 30 placements with partner organisations across the world, providing young engineers with the opportunity to experience international development first hand.  Placement managers are integral members of the international partnerships team; they scout out the very best opportunities for our members.

Placement Reviewer

The Placement Reviewer holds a small but important role within the International Partnerships team.

Outreach Team - External Partner Liaison

 		We are currently recruiting for a new role on the Outreach team due to demand for our Outreach programme this year. EWB Outreach is all about exciting and educating children about engineering and international development in a way they understand.

Fundraising: RAG Co-ordinator

Universities across the UK raise millions of pounds every year for charities through ‘Raising and Giving’ (RAG) campaigns. This role will involve helping EWB-UK become a beneficiary of RAG societies at universities and has the potential to bring in a significant amount of income and allow us to expand our activities to reach more people.

Fundraising: Appeals Co-ordinator

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and imaginative individual to design and run appeals to raise both funding and awareness for EWB-UK. There is significant opportunity for your initiative, creativity and exciting new ideas.
