Bursaries Team
The bursary scheme provides funding for EWB-UK members to set up learning opportunities, research projects or volunteer placements which contribute to their personal development and benefit partner development organisations.
You can apply to become the Bursaries Manager and/or join the Bursaries Team.

Making an adobe brick in a mould - bursaries can support learning activities also.
So far, EWB-UK has supported over 50 projects with partner organisations in more than 25 countries, including earthquake resistant housing in El Salvador, and community bridge construction in Malawi.
Members of the Bursaries team get involved with one or more of the areas that keep the programme running, such as:
- marketing the scheme nationwide and encouraging members to apply
- training panels of students and professionals to assess and choose the best project ideas
- fundraising for restricted funds for the Bursaries Programme
- assessing the feedback and planning how to develop the scheme in future.
Team members should be interested in international development and EWB-UK’s work. Different roles within the team can require different amounts of time but the approximate commitment would be around 10 hours a month.
Being part of the Bursaries team provides a lot of the same benefits as being Bursaries co-ordinator but requires less commitment so is great if you want to get involved but are worried that you don’t have enough time or experience. It's a great opportunity to learn more about EWB-UK and about international development work in general.
